So, I made some lovely new friends thanks to
fuckyeah's friending meme. First, let me say that was a wonderful idea! Second, *hugs* to all my new friends, *double hugs* to all the friends I already have.
I'm so excited to have made so many new friends so quickly, I definitely should have done one of these memes before but I kind of tend to lurk sometimes.
So this is sort of an introduction but also sort of a way to ease some of you in to my personal brand of insanity. Right now my life is a bit...odd. Due to an auto accident I was in about 2 years ago, I sustained some pretty severe injuries to my spine and left shoulder. I don't tell you this as a means to garner sympathy but really as more of a heads-up kind of thing.
I had my second spinal fusion (and 8th spinal procedure over-all) just last week. This means that while I live in the Eastern US, my sleep/wake cycle is a tad bit skewed due to lots and lots of medications. (They had to cut a piece of bone out of my hip to use as a wedge between vertebrae and man does that hurt!) So, if I take a little time responding to some of your entries or comments, it's probably because I am sleeping or otherwise incapacitated by my pain meds.
This is quite a drastic change from my usual life-style because (as you might have noticed from the title of my LJ) I am usually a severe insomniac and have been since I hit puberty. So you can figure once I'm weaned off the meds (and that will be as fast as I can tolerate it!) that I'll be back to haunting the internet at all hours of the night and day.
As for me, I am an entirely too wide open book. If you have anything you're curious about, feel free to ask me. I love to connect with people in every form of communication there is. I am, most definitely, a people person :D
(Oh, and if for some reason you stark to poke around my fan fiction, don't let the dark stories scare you off, despite my tendency to write some seriously dark themes, I'm really not that scary a person, crazy? yes, scary? no!)

Date: 2012-03-09 06:02 pm (UTC)From:Secondly, Crazy person, you say? - I think I'll love you!
Thirdly, you poor thing - that is horrific! I'm fully in favour of being able to regenerate our bodies when extreem trauma happens, would make everything so much easier!
I'm a bit of an insomniac myself, does my head in sometimes but mostly I enjoy the overthetop thoughts that burst into my head when I've been awake for far too long.
*hugs*

Date: 2012-03-09 09:02 pm (UTC)From:So do I! That's why I call insomnia both a bitch and a blessing. I get my best ideas when I'm half-dead with exhaustion and can't sleep. I can't usually write them out until I nap a bit, but the ideas certainly come then.

Date: 2012-03-09 09:11 pm (UTC)From:You'd worry yourself silly if I stopped writing my dark stories! Which honestly is very unlikely to ever happen.
