I just spent most of the day completely captivated by this. Your world-building is terrific. I don't tend to read fic this dark normally, but this was too amazing to turn back from. Your Uther is certainly the most callous that I can remember reading, utterly foul. But Merlin and Arthur's devotion was beautiful. And the children! Just all of it- so original and well though out.
The art was a gorgeous distraction! I particularly liked the last one with Arthur in his armour and Merlin in his arms. So lovely.
