Thank you so much for this comment! Yes, I agree that Arthur isn't taking his own upbringing into account when assessing Gwen's ability to resist temptation. However, he's more than a bit emotional at this moment. It definitely crossed my mind though. However, as far as I can see, it just adds to the disconnect between them.(tbh I'd like to pretend the bracelet didn't happen too) Can't tell you how pleased I am that you liked this, I wasn't 100% confident in it before I posted.
